If you’ve been wondering what all the construction is on the corner of Eureka Rd and Sierra College Blvd, here’s your answer!
There are two main parcels that are under development. The project proposes to construct half of an 84-foot road right-of-way with associated improvements along the frontage of the two adjoining parcels in anticipation of future development of these parcels. It sounds like we’re going to have 2 new developments with 44 muti family units, and another 28 single family homes. With the real estate inventory shortage, some new homes in Granite Bay could be just what we need.
The parcel to the west is approximately 8.8 acres and is currently zoned commercial professional office. This parcel was last purchased in 2005 for $5,000,000 and is the property on the corner of Eureka Rd and Sierra College Blvd. It appears that Morton & Pialo Inc has requested a rezone in order to build out to 44 multi-family residential units. This sounds like it could be apartments or a condo/town home project. (more info as it becomes available)
The parcel to the east is 11.6 acres and appears to be zoned Rural Low Density Residential. This parcel was also last purchased in 2005 for $5,000,000. This is projected for development of 28 single family residential units. A re-zone has been requested on this parcel as well.
