As Halloween nears, you’re probably wondering where to go for all the fun Halloween activities. Maybe you like houses haunted by ghouls and goblins, or maybe you like magic shows full of oohs and ahhs? Here are some cool events happening this October for everyone to enjoy!
October 1st – November 5th
Do you love a good scare? Do you like the feel of adrenaline? If so, Scream Park Is for you! Forbes called it “Best in the west” and it was voted the scariest haunted house in California. Scream Park has a total of 3 haunted houses as well as live horror entertainment. This is an all ages attraction, but be sure to keep in mind that it is recommended for mature audiences only. Saturday, October 15th 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Antelope Crossing’s Spooktacular is a free, family-friendly event. The whole family will get to enjoy a kid’s costume contest, carnival games, face painting, a pumpkin patch, live entertainment and more!
The Annual Spookomotive Train Ride
Saturdays, October 15th, 22nd, & 29th
Sundays, October 16th, 23rd, & 30th
For three weekends in October, the whole family can enjoy a Halloween themed train ride in Old Town Sacramento. Each year, the train is decked in Halloween decorations and each weekend, the train hosts a different theme. Get your Halloween costumes on and get down to Old Town Sacramento for family-fun and entertainment aboard the Spookomotive Train!
Safe & Super Halloween Superheroes
October 21st – 23rd
Fairytale Town is hosting its 30th annual Safe 7 Super Halloween. Enjoy three nights of trick-or-treating and family fun while meeting all your favorite superheroes. Each night will consist of a costume parade, a magic show, and lots of family activities!
Saturday, October, 29th 11am – 4pm
Safetyville has been hosting this safe trick-or-treating alternative since 1991. This year, Halloween Haunt eventgoers will enjoy a magic show, a harvest maze, carnival games, a costume parade, & much more! Don’t forget to wear your best Halloween costume!
October 29th – 30th 11am – 5pm
Get on your costumes and grab your candy bags for Boo at the Zoo! There will be trick-or-treat stations throughout the entire zoo. Trick-or-treaters will also get to enjoy stage shows, keeper chats, games, & face painting! Even more exciting, the Spooky Zoo Train and the Creepy Carousel will be available to ride.
